Pay me or owe me. That is the simple difference between America and Russia. Americans function on getting people to pay them. Hence the debt collection outfits. Russians function on receiving based on privilege. Hence gangs moving about with pockets of specie trading across a grey or even black market. Clearly a nation needs a tax police to remain funded when people rely on all manner of under the table transactions and going to work, even in the absence of a wage, to curry favours from one another. The state also needs to own everything of value. Very quickly in the extremes of all people do, women — in the role of being a helper to men — end up having no value in either system. Where does that cycle of owe me have an entrance point so what runs on favours becomes what runs on commodity assessment functioning through exoteric agreement to work to produce commodity calculating return rather than rely on luck through an esoteric class controlling commodity outside of state revenue?
